Audit Head

JOB SUMMARY (Answers the overall purpose or objective of the job)

Responsible for overseeing the operations of the Audit unit and the banks system of internal control and ascertains that it is adequate and functioning properly by checking the companys

activities, records, property and personnel and undertaking continuous program of examination and verification to ensure management of the general reliability and validity of all reports and processes.

Supervision of Audit Unit

Takes charge of the unit operation by enforcing the banks system of internal control in accordance with the policies and procedures.

Audit Program

Formulates and undertakes an Audit program that covers a continuous examination and verification to ensure management of the general reliability and validity of all reports and processes.

Standards :

Audit Program is prepared, submitted for approval, carried out, and reported / submitted to the Audit Committee

Audit Function

Reports directly to the President, and to the Audit committee on any irregularities or breaches of laws, rules and standards discovered, without fear of retaliation or disfavor from management or other affected parties.

Have access to all operational areas as well as records or files necessary to enable it to carry out its duties and responsibilities.

Standards:

Ensure the independence of the Audit function from the business activities of the bank

Audit Report

Based on the audit performed for a certain period, prepares the audit report to be discussed during the regular Audit committee meeting. Documents the audit recommendations that detail the appropriate measures to be taken to ensure that the established policies, procedures, and controls are followed.

Standards:

Audit report covers the transactions and processes examined during the prescribed period which includes the corresponding recommendations and status/updates on pending audit findings.

Audit report is easily understandable.

Audit report is submitted to the Director on or before agreed-upon deadline.
