Mortgage Loan Underwriter

Our client-partner Kloze Mortgage Corp is Florida based mortgage lending firm. The company is experiencing rapid growth and they are looking to grow by hiring an experienced mortgage loan underwriter to join the Kloze Mortgage Family. The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring that all factors of their investors guidelines are satisfied prior to close (we like to say KLOZE), while adhering to the ever-changing rules set forth by their regulators.

Responsibilities

Conducts front-line underwriting prior to origination

Provides preliminary loan pricing for loans and provides to the Head of Commercial Lending for review

Provides credit risk decisions to the necessary individuals within the Company. Follows up on questions and concerns in a friendly, timely, and efficient manner.

Delivers quality loan decisions that meet the requirements of our investors

Performs a thorough due diligence review of credit, income, and asset analysis and communicates findings

Qualifications

Mortgage lending experience and loan knowledge required, specifically with Conventional (FNMA, FHLMC), Government (VA, FHA, USDA), Non-QM, or Business Purpose Loans such as Fix and Flip, New Construction, Bridge and Long-Term Rental loans for investment properties.

Strong analytical and time management skills and superior attention to detail

Minimum of 3+ years mortgage loan underwriting experience required

We prefer a college degree in accounting, finance, or business - High school diploma, GED or similar required

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong knowledge of mortgages and real estate relating to UCC, titles, mortgages, liens, and other aspects of the loan collateral position

Excellent communication skills

Self-starter with the ability to work independently

Must be confident, friendly, and reassuring in a highly service-oriented, fast-paced environment.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 software

Night-shift schedule 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Eastern), weekends off
