Quantity Surveyor

Duties and Responsibilities:

Identify and quantify cost factors, such as production time, materials, and labor expenses

Analyze and evaluate offers

Explore documentation in order to gain a deep understanding of the project requirements

Select, measure and track important metrics

Visit sites, warehouses and other venues necessary to do the estimate

Perform complex analysis of collected data and metrics

Prepare relevant and reliable forecasts

Conduct complex risk analysis activities

Read blueprints and technical documents in order to prepare estimates

Collaborate with engineers, architects, clients, and sub contractors on estimates

Consult with industry experts to discuss estimates and resolve issues

Use computer software to calculate estimates

Evaluate a products cost-effectiveness or profitability

Recommend ways to make a product more cost effective or profitable

Work with upper management to prepare estimates

Develop project plans for the duration of the project

Create and present reports to upper management

Qualifications:

At least 5 years work experience in construction project management

Board Passer

Degree in civil engineering or architecture

Proficient in Microsoft Office
