Merchant Acquiring Officer (for Bgc, Taguig)

Job Summary

The Merchant Acquiring Officer is responsible for marketing and selling service to other merchants. They are also in charge of acquiring and retaining clients, managing marketing transactions such as Point of Sale, to analyze, measure and report data, security and compliance on product documentation, among others.

Duties:

Identify the merchants with significant visibility and substantial sales volumes.

Primary point of contact for prospect merchants.

Responsible for short listing, negotiating and arriving at the commercial terms and conditions with merchants in conjunction with the Head- Sales and Marketing.

Establish and build strong relationships through consistent interaction with merchants regarding their business model, industry, marketplace and the fraud challenges they face.

Elevate, deepen, and broaden relationships within each merchant and maintain a thorough and up to date understanding of their business and goals.

Engaged with payment gateways and work with technology/ IT team for system and product integration.

Ensure compliance to both internal and external policies and regulatory requirements.

Ensure efficient process is in place for timely resolution of merchant query/ complaints as per the defined timelines.

Define the performance targets for various merchants basis, the negotiations and expectation and ensure regular and timely monitoring of the performance targets to ensure minimal deviation and timely achievement.

Deliver meaningful and actionable Client performance reviews.

Manage the contracting process for Client renewals and cross sales.

Work with all other teams within the company to optimize customer experience across our portfolio.

Qualifications:

Graduate of any 4 year college course.

Good in sales and marketing strategy plans.

Good interpersonal relationships with other people.

Excellent communications skills and presentable.

With at least 2 years work experience as a Merchant Acquiring Officer in bank or finance company.
