Senior Accountant

SUMMARY

The Senior Accountant will ensure the integrity and reporting accuracy of the organizations financial results. Prepare financial reports and present findings and recommendations to management. Conduct analysis and risk assessments to estimate financial outcomes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Prepare and review general ledger account reconciliations in accordance with GE standards

2. Perform monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad hoc financial reporting and analysis of the balance sheet

3. Perform global monthly close and reporting to parent company

4. Reconcile intercompany transactions

5. Post journal entries to the general ledger

6. Perform HQ cost analysis and calculate accruals as needed

7. Review and analyze quarterly inventory and monthly accounts receivable reports

8. Prepare schedules and assist with the annual audits

9. Investigate, document, and analyze workflow to generate process improvements

10. Provide support to regional finance teams related to global accounting processes and procedures

11. Perform special projects as necessary

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Strong knowledge of accounting concepts, practices, and procedures

Strong administrative skills and familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Power point, and Oracle Financials

Intermediate Microsoft Access and Noetix skills are preferred

Excellent communication and management skills, possess a high level of organizational ability

Effective troubleshooting, problem solving, and creative/innovative thought processing skills

Ability to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish daily, weekly, and monthly tasks

Able to work independently as well as with a team of people

Able to travel several times per year, potentially for extended periods of time

Prepare/Review necessary tax returns

Prepare budget reports as necessary
